Things around the farm have been very busy to say the least and we thought we would fill you in on what’s been happening here at Cobbitty Equine Farm for June 2022.
We are very excited to bring our Race Series alive, something we have been working on behind the scenes for a very long time.
We want to support those who support us!

An exciting addition to our Stallion Line Up…Huntsville!
We were extremely excited to announce that the current leading first crop sire in Australia, Huntsville will be joining our Stallion Roster for the 2022/23 Breeding Season…
The proven Group One Sire will be available to breeders via FROZEN semen.
His service fee will be $11,500 which includes GST and the HRA stallion registration fee of 15%.
We have been inundated with expressions of interest and will be finalising bookings this week. We thank everyone for their patience and are as excited as you to be able to offer him to our clients this season.

After winning the Miracle Mile for the third time, King Of Swing became the first horse in history to win three editions of the great race. After this feat, Kings connections decided to retire him to Stud which hence marked the end of an illustrious career.
Standing his first season at the great price of $8,800 inc GST, We opened his book up to breeders this month and they have snapped him up quickly — with only a limited number of spaces left available for Australian breeders. *Please note that no booking is confirmed until we receive a booking form which can be found on our website.
NSW Domiciled Mares pay only $6,650 ( see BREED NSW conditions)

We are extremely proud to announce the crowned 2021 NSW Stallion of the Year, For A Reason to our Stallion Roster for the 2022/23 Breeding Season…
For A Reason, or ‘Frank the Tank’ as he is affectionately known, continues to climb the siring ranks. After his progeny had a successful 2021 season on the racetrack, For A Reason finished third on the NSW three-year-old Leading Sires board with 48 winners, just behind his father Art Major who had 49 winners. After his stella season, For A Reason was crowned the most prestigious award of NSW Stallion of the Year for 2021.
Standing this season at a great price of $2,750 inc GST (AUD)
What better value Sire is there! For A Reason is also eligible for the $500 Colonial Stallion bonus as well.

For A Reason will also be available chilled to New Zealand breeders with an unlimited book with a service fee of $3,000 plus GST
An exciting initiative for New South Wales breeders with the introduction of the “Breed NSW” Scheme which introduces a range of funding incentives from Harness Racing New South Wales. It is a massive step in the right direction from HRNSW with helping the long term future of the breeding industry within NSW but Australia as well.
The Breed NSW Scheme is for both the pacing and trotting gait for mares permanently located in NSW.
Commences with mares being bred in the 2022/23 breeding season and offers the below:
- $250 when your mare has a positive pregnancy test;
- $1,000 when your mare births a live foal by any stallion; and
- An extra $500 if that foal is by a stallion standing in NSW.
For Example: If you have a mare that has a positive pregnancy to FOR A REASON, who then has a live foal born in NSW and registered and microchipped with HRNSW you will receive $1,750. You will then also have the Colonial Stallion Bonus to claim.

BLING IT ON STANDING IN QUEENSLAND
This upcoming breeding season, Bling It On will be standing in Queensland. Bling It On has already sired 38 individual starters for 21 individual winners. The winners include Group One champion and NSW 2YO Filly of the Year Madrid, and his first two crops have collectively earned more than $470,000. Bling It On’s interstate move will provide breeders the opportunity to become part of the amazing QBRED Scheme offering bonuses of up to $21,500! Broodmares served interstate will be eligible for their home state Breeding Schemes as well. | GROUP ONE GLORY AGAIN… The Huntsville colt, Tardelli has stamped himself as the top 2YO pacer of the season when he won the Group One Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sales Series Final during the month. Tardelli won the Group One Bathurst Gold Crown final earlier in the season and with his latest victory the colt has added two Group One victories to his resume of seven wins from only eight starts. |
