Wrapping up Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Someone very close to the Cobbitty Equine team was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, they are in their early 40’s, no signs or symptoms, she is grateful they got it early because she went for her free screening at Breast Screen. She now has a mission for 100 young 40 and over friends to have a mammogram. So have you had yours?
Let us know if you do it so we can add you to the list.
Breast-screen offers a great free service. All you have to do is call 13 20 50 to make an appointment.
Or see your doctor for a referral to a local imaging centre.

Cobbitty Equine Stars Photography Competition

As breeding season is well and truely here, its time to get your camera’s out and into action! We are running a monthly competition round, ten photos will be selected at random and you will help choose the winner on social media. Not only do we want mare and foal photos, we want any photos of any of our progeny, Pacers and Trotters. They may be weanlings, yearlings, or a photo shoot at the races!
These winners will go into a draw to win a Free Service to For A Reason, as well as receive a Cobbitty Equine Merchandise package. There will be many prizes up for grabs along the way .. so join in for some fun and send us a photo of your Cobbitty Equine Progeny!

As we are about to ramp up into our busiest month of Stallion collection, just a reminder that our collection days are …
Please have your orders in at 5pm Sydney time the night prior (SUNDAY, TUESDAY OR THURSDAY).

Please refer to the Semen Order form for details of confirmation of orders.
We will endeavour to fulfil any orders received after closing, however preference will be given to orders received on time.
Please note that all mares require a booking contract signed by their breeder/owner, no semen will be shipped until we receive a booking contract. We really appreciate your assistance in ensuring your clients have done this. Booking contracts can be downloaded, or an online contract can be completed on our website.

STALLION WINNERS
FOR A REASON 1…2…3…
Our resident Stallion, For A Reason produced a sired trifecta during the month.
The qualifying heats for the 4YO C & G NSW Breeders Challenge were run at Club Menangle last night and one heat was absolute For A Reason domination!
The three sons of For A Reason – Bradeos Lad, Kashed Up and Hez Dusty took out all the major placings in the heat. With all three rightfully earning their spot into the final that was run the following weekend.
The winner Braedos Lad took victory in a career best time of 1:51.1 beating Kashed Up right on the line and Hez Dusty taking third place.
Kashed Up then went on to place second in the Group Two Final the following week just getting beat by half a neck in a career best mile rate of 1:49:7 and Braedos Lad running third.
The proven multiple Group One producing sire For A Reason stands in New South Wales at the great price of $2,750 inc GST and is available to New Zealand Breeders as well, standing at $3,000 plus GST and proving to be ever so popular with breeders again this year as his book is filling fast!
For A Reason is also eligible for the NSW Colonial Stallion Bonus of $500 and all his progeny will be eligible for the NSW Breeders Challenge that great bonuses on offer. As well as our exciting new race series “Cobbitty Equine Classic” with prizemoney over $200,000 on offer.

Madrid goes a career best!
Madrid, the daughter of Bling It On has been a model of consistency throughout her career to date and during the month winning her Semi Final of the NSW Breeders Challenge, the 3YO filly clocked a career best mile rate of 1:51.8!
Standing In Queensland this season, Bling It On stands at the price of $3,300 inc GST with multiple mare discounts are available.
All mares served by Bling It On will be eligible for the QBRED bonus scheme as well as their own home state scheme * conditions apply. And don’t forget his foals will also be eligible for the Cobbitty Equine Classic worth over $200,000 in prizemoney!
